At Breaking Dawn Therapy, we want our clients to feel comfortable sharing their issues and concerns. We employ cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), and mindfulness practices to help clients break through their mental barriers and reconnect with their rational selves.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) 

Cognitive Behavioral therapy helps you identify troubling issues in your life, become aware of your thoughts, emotions, and beliefs, and work to reshape negative thinking. It is an effective tool to help you learn how to better manage stressful life situations.

CBT is a relatively short-term treatment approach, but there are instances when therapy may require a longer duration. You can expect to be asked to do “homework”, where you practice skills in between therapy sessions.

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)?

SFBT focuses on achieving goals using practical resolutions to current problems. The main idea with SFBT is that the client knows what they need to do to improve their life and achieve their goals. They simply require the proper form of coaching to get there.

Unlike other forms of therapy that ask, “how did you get here?”, SFBT has a present-focused approach. It concerns where you are going and how you will choose to get there. SFBT works best for people with depression, anxiety, and self-esteem issues.
